A New Way to Connect in Long-Term Care

A New Way to Connect in Long-Term Care

There are moments when technology goes beyond innovation and starts to change how we care, connect, and support one another.

We recently had the opportunity to present our immersive therapy system, VirCube FLEXI, at the International Society for Gerontechnology 15th World Conference by International Society for Gerontechnology

Bringing together professionals from the US, Singapore, Canada, Sweden, Taiwan and beyond, the conference highlighted a shared direction: the future of care is not only about efficiency, but about meaningful engagement.

Through our partnership with UBC IDEA Lab, we demonstrated how immersive, non-headset experiences can support residents in long-term care, especially those living with dementia — helping to stimulate cognition, encourage participation, and create moments of connection.

In care settings, these moments are powerful.
 - They support well-being.
 - They bring familiarity back into daily life.
- They open new ways for care teams to engage residents.

What we are seeing is a shift — immersive therapy is becoming a practical, adoptable approach within care environments, not just a concept.

If you are exploring new ways to enhance engagement and quality of life in your care setting, we would be glad to continue the conversation.
